St. Paul’s Sunday Service
What to expect when visiting St. Paul’s
Come as you are. Our congregation includes people dressed in everything from suits to jeans, and you’ll feel equally welcome in either. Our worship follows the Book of Common Prayer, with everything you need to participate, including prayers, hymns, and congregational responses, provided in the Sunday bulletin. No prior knowledge or experience is necessary.
All baptized Christians are welcome to receive Communion. If you prefer not to receive communion, you are also welcome to come forward for a blessing. Our ushers and greeters are always available to answer questions or help you find your way. We’re glad you’re here.
Service Times
-
Our early service is quiet and contemplative, spoken rather than sung, and typically shorter than our 11:00 a.m. service. It's a good fit if you prefer a simpler, more reflective start to your Sunday.
-
Formation classes for all ages meet at 9:45 a.m., between our two services. Adults gather in Lawrence Hall to explore things like Scripture, theology, and church history together. Nursery & children’s Sunday School take place in the same time slot. No preparation needed, just drop in.
-
Our later service includes choir and music, as well as care for children during the service. We have: a nursery for our youngest members (up to age 5), Godly Play for Kindergarten through 5th grade, and in service play-kits for any age.
-
Stick around after the 11:00 a.m. service for coffee hour in Lawrence Hall. It happens every week, snacks are always out, and a good portion of the congregation shows up to chat and unwind. It's the easiest, most low-pressure way to meet people, ask questions, and start feeling like part of the St. Paul's family.
A Place for Every Age, Even the Littlest Ones
Bringing kids to church can feel like a lot, so we've invested in ways to make it easier. We have three dedicated rooms just for children, along with options for families who'd rather keep their little ones close, so however your family worships best, we've made room for you.
Nursery
Our nursery welcomes babies and young children during the 11:00 a.m. service, staffed and ready for drop-in visitors every Sunday. It's a warm, safe space where your youngest family members are looked after with care while you worship, and where they're already becoming part of our St. Paul's family.
Children’s Chapel/Youth Group
Beyond the nursery, St. Paul's has two more rooms that belong entirely to our kids. Our Children's Chapel and Youth Room are stocked with toys, games, and comfortable spots to gather, favorite hangouts before and after worship, during coffee hour, and any time families are with us throughout the week.
In-Service Play Kits
Not every family wants to be apart during church service, and we love that too. Our In-Service Play Kits are ready and waiting for parents who'd rather keep their kids close during the service, as well as for kids who are a bit too big for the nursery. Each bag is filled with quiet, simple activities to engage them with the service and keep little hands busy.
We Can’t Wait to Meet You
Whether it's your first Sunday or your five hundredth, there's a seat for you at St. Paul's. Come early, stay for coffee, and see what makes this community feel like home.
